Brika - "Expectations"
It takes guts (not to mention serious talent) to open a song a cappella and Miami-based songstress Brika clearly has an abundance of both as on her latest (and only second-ever) track, “Expectations”, she does just that. I was immediately taken aback. This track is best described as "minimalist" and despite the fact that she is billed as a pop signer I can't help but nudge her into the soul genre (a genre, I should say, she would excel at). This is the kind of song you stop what you're doing, sit back in your chair, and take a few minutes to yourself. Bliss.
