Rubblebucket - "Carousel Ride"

New York quintet Rubblebucket have a new EP out August 11th and the title track from the EP, Carousel Ride, is as unremitting as its name suggest. The group, which occasionally reminds me of Ratatat (another NYC-native),  has crafted another kooky and clever song that definitely lives up to its namesake. Synths aplenty, distorted guitars, and a muted trumpet all lend their strength to Annakalmia Traver's remarkably timid and controlled vocals. Hop on and take a spin with Rubblebucket.
