Azedia - "Kin"

Azedia - "Kin"

I am a big fan of driving, specifically driving late at night. Cruising around in an otherwise empty car on empty streets, the streetlights passing overhead and good driving music playing in the background. It's one of my happy places. Now I don't own a car, so getting the opportunity to indulge in my nighttime driving music playing obsession doesn't get much attention but that being said, I will immediately recognize when a song has that certain sound that makes me want to drive. Azedia's “Kin” is one such song. If you break down the song there is so much going on, so many components diligently playing away, but the sum of these elements is a coherent, subtle, beautiful piece of music. When I hit play I am transported into a car on a highway at night, driving until the sun comes up. I'm relaxed, I'm content, I'm happy.
