Oh Wonder - "The Rain"

Happy New Year! A good part of you are likely nursing a hangover in some form or another (myself included), but thankfully the internet makes it super easy to find new music without ever leaving the comfort of bed. And seeing as it's the first of the month, Oh Wonder has treated us with yet another beautiful song. "The Rain" is the latest in this duo's string of monthly releases, and it is as good as anything else we've heard from the pair. It starts with a familiar softness, highlighting the vocal harmony. As the song progresses, it  becomes more upbeat than what we've heard in the past and, once it gets going, uses synths more than we've seen before. The result is a familiar yet distinct to add to this group's already stellar repertoire.
