Speelburg - "Lay It Right"
“Lay It Right”, the most recent single from Belgium's Speelburg, will almost immediately have you on the hook. It has simple (but thumping) percussion, some pretty damn dirty horns (always a plus), a driving bass line, and catchy-as-hell vocals (both Speelburg and the background ‘Hey Ya’). Having never listened to Speelburg before, I was surprised at how well he did this energetic song when I went back through his previous releases and noticed how much more subdued they were, though no less catchy. I'm not sure if "Lay It Right" is a new direction for the singer, or just a test, but he nailed the sound.
